Things like the golf which was just a cage to drive golf balls, Wii, basketball, swimming, ping pong, etc. were free. There are also a number of free shows, parties, dances, etc. to be done on the Sky. The costly activities were the excursions and other off boat activities. We managed to have a great time without spending much money. We did the one excursion mentioned above and ate the standard food. This kept the additional costs down and made it a fun and affordable trip. The one thing that really could add up is on any cruise is alcohol. Neither my wife nor I drink so we saved a great deal there but drinks were expensive. We ordered a bottle of water during one of the shows and it cost us several dollars but all in all we would recommend the Sky to anyone. You mentioned that the onboard activites cost money. I was dissapointed to hear that because the lady on the phone told me that it was an "all inclusive" price (excluding alcohol and soda). Do you remember what some of the prices were for the activities you participated in? We were wanting to do things like bowling, Wii, golf, massages, etc. Thanks!
