Only You Can Stop Webspam
Google is again accepting feedback on what spam tactics we would like to see them crackdown on in 2009. This has been a regular occurrence over the last few years and some good ideas are bought up every year.
Google has worked hard to curb web spam but there always seems to be a new way around their filters. Now is your chance to sound off about what techniques and methods annoy you the most in hopes that Google will end them in 2009.
Some of the suggestions so far are:
- Google local spam and abuse
- Review spam
- Better filtering for bots that are scraping and regurgitating content
- Adwords spam
- Filter pages that simply show search results
- Link spam from social networking sites
