Google PageRank Update

For those of you that haven’t heard Google is just wrapping up its last PageRank update of 2008 and the first since September. Rumors were spreading around the web about the update all day yesterday and they were finally confirmed by Matt Cutts on Twitter. I checked through many of the websites we manage and didn’t see much change. I was surprised Stemkoski.com didn’t make at least a modest gain as it picked up several links since launching in October. On the plus side, Stemkoski.com has been performing much, much better than expected from a search engine standpoint and is pulling in a respectable amount of traffic from long tail search terms in Google.

On the eve of April fools day Google updated the toolbar page rank again on 1st April 2009. This time they filtered more back links. Previously i have around 70 now i have less back links for my site http://www.cybex.in. However site rank well on all top keywords. It seems google backlinks scheme updated too. It still loves article links as i did for my site. I implemented news section and rss feeds on the site which rocks well and may be the reason of ranking my all keywords.

You can find my article links by typing [ link:www.cybex.in ] at google search box.
