Facebook Launches Facebook ID and Takes Over the Internet
Facebook officially launched their connect platform. Facebook has been working on ingraining themselves in the lives of web visitors and in the very fabric of the Internet as much as possible in the last couple years. With the official release of connect they can now do that in a very real way. Connect has the potential to beat out other open user platforms like OpenID or Windows Live ID. With Facebookâs huge network and a lack of understanding of OpenID, Facebook has the potential to become a generic web wide login interface for websites.
